This movie didn't disappoint me, but it didn't engulf me either. I wouldn't recommend it, but it is a good way to spend a couple hours.

Excellent movie and Samuel is always such an engaging and strong actor. The movie drew you in from the opening and it kept your attention and the struggles of the champion are ever so real. Great story line, visuals, and writing. Bravo

I am simply let down everytime I get talked into going to an american made comedy. Who's rating these comedy movies... post pubescent boys and girls? I guess if you think bare breasted women, stupid cliches' and just plain dumb writing is funny... more power to you. I'll stick to the foreign comedies, until Hollywood can produce something more funny than this type of garbage.

this was the best picture in the month of August. nothing else to say, but when the DVD comes out, i am getting it.

Pretty damn memorable - Resurrecting the Champ Reviews

Samuel L. Jackson does a masterful job at falling into the place of a unordinary character. It might not of been a Denzel in Training Day but he did a damn good job. The story of it was very decent and the visuals of the fights and flash backs I thought timed in perfectly.
